The Frisco

One of Austin oldest and famous diners is The Frisco. It was originally established in year 1953 as one of the food chains of Harry Akin’s Night Hawk. Akin started a local restaurant near the South Congress called the Night Hawk 1. As a genuine entrepreneur, he then developed the place to include late night dining services. Akin even started raising his very beef to make sure that all meat ingredients are of the best quality. During the very turbulent years of his era, Akin who started out The Frisco that is known today, was the first ever Austinite to ever integrate his business food chain.
